How much does TrackFly cost?
Retailers: Everything is included today. When you connect your POS and share your data, you get the full Retailer Dashboard in return, with automated reports on inventory and sell-through. Additionally, you can connect with your brand partners and reps to seamlessly share sell-through and inventory for their products.
Brands: Brands can subscribe to Market Insights, our detailed industry report dashboard built from anonymized retail-channel data, priced by product category and industry. Brands can also connect directly with partner retailers already on TrackFly (or invite new ones to join) to unlock Sales Connections, which gives filtered visibility into sell-through data for the products that brand sells, and only with that retailer's consent. Contact us for category and Sales Connections pricing.
What is the value I get from signing up?
Retailers and brands both save time on the back-and-forth of business decisions when they're working from the same real data instead of guesswork. As a retailer, connecting your POS gets you the Retailer Dashboard as part of that exchange, and it unlocks Sales Connections, so you can grant a partner brand a filtered view of current sell-through for just that brand's products and nothing else. Additionally, for industries where we have sufficient density, you'll also get access to industry benchmarking, top selling items, top product categories, etc. Get started here; it takes about 5 minutes.
How does TrackFly produce market insights?
TrackFly connects retailer POS data with contributed brand catalog information, then runs it through our proprietary data-cleaning and standardization technology, including our patented data normalization engine, to turn raw, inconsistent POS records into one clean, consistent categorization schema. That clean data is what powers the anonymized industry reports the whole community relies on to spot broader market trends. Reach out if you'd like to learn more about how this works.
How long does it take to set up?
About 5 minutes to create your account and connect your POS. From there, our team builds out your Retailer Dashboard, which is typically ready in a few weeks or less. Brands can sign up just as quickly and start inviting partner retailers to connect. Get started here.
What data does TrackFly collect from my POS?
We hold two categories of data from your POS: sell-through data (what sold, where, at what price, and when) and inventory data (current stock levels and the brands and products you carry). We don't collect anything related to your customers or billing. Our integration is read-only and never touches your customer, employee, or payment information.
Is my data anonymized? Who can see it?
As a retailer, your data feeds into TrackFly's market intelligence reports only in aggregated, anonymized form. You have control of your data and control who else sees it on TrackFly. You can invite specific sales reps, distributors, or brand partners to view their own sell-through and inventory numbers, and you can accept or decline any connection request that comes your way from one of them. If you don't connect with anyone, your data only ever contributes to the anonymized market pool. You can disconnect at any time (see below).
If I connect with a brand or rep, what can they actually see?
Only the sell-through and inventory data for the products they sell at your store, nothing else in your account. You can revoke any single connection at any time without affecting your other connections or your overall TrackFly account. (see below for more details on disconnecting)
How do you make sure my store can't be identified in regional or category benchmarks?
We look at a number of factors, like how many retailers are active in a given region and how evenly matched they are in size/industry/door count/etc., to make sure every retailer stays anonymous and protected before we ever display a regional or category breakout. If a region doesn't yet have enough retailer density and uniformity to guarantee that protection, we hold that regional breakout back until it does. Reach out if you'd like to talk through how this applies to your region and industry specifically.
What happens to my data if I disconnect?
You can disconnect at a couple of levels. You can revoke a single connection to a sales rep or brand partner at any time without affecting your broader TrackFly account or other brand/partner connections. If desired, you can disconnect entirely, in which case your raw POS data can no longer be collected by our platform and, therefore will not be available for us to use going forward. Any anonymized/processed data that has already been included in reports stays in those historical reports, however. We don't go back and revise reports that were already published using your historical data.
How is my data protected?
Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and security is something we invest in continuously. Our practices have already been vetted through the security risk assessments of a number of our enterprise brand partners, and we're building toward additional third-party validation over time. Protecting retailer anonymity and data security is a top priority in how we build the platform. Questions? Contact us.
What support does TrackFly offer?
Retailers get a 1:1 training session included once their Retailer Dashboard is delivered. Most people don't end up needing it, but it's there. Brands on Market Insights get an initial consulting session with their first monthly report. Contact us to book a session.
How much time do I need to invest during my day to day?
Minimal by design. TrackFly is meant to run in the background for you as a retailer. We want to be here for you to facilitate benchmarking and improved rep partnerships when you need us, but not add another task to your busy retail day. If you need anything, support is here.
