Linking your Ascend POS system to your TrackFly account
- Login to your TrackFly Account at https://www.trackfly.com/

Click the “Integrations” menu in the left panel

Click “Connect Ascend” in the list of POS systems shown

Click the "Download TrackFly Here" button to download the installer (leave this window open, you will need to copy the Company ID and use it in a subsequent step).
- Once downloaded, double-click the installer to run it (you may need to look in your web browser's Downloads menu to find it)

Click the "Next" button to proceed through the installation process. NOTE: You may be prompted to install an updated version of .NET, you will need to update this in order to proceed with the installation.

Enter your Company ID (shown in step 4), and a location name for the store this is being installed at, then click Next. NOTE: If you have multiple locations, this process must be completed for each one on its local server. Use the same Company ID, but change the location name to your preferred name for each location.

Select the option for "Ascend" and then click Next

Click Next. TrackFly will then look for your Ascend SQL database on your server. This process can take a few minutes

Once the server has been found, type the database name into the Database field (typically this is just named "Ascend") and click the "Confirm POS" button

TrackFly will now attempt a connection request to your database server. This can take a few minutes. NOTE: If you see a message saying your server can't be found, see the "Troubleshooting" section at the end of this article for help.

Once it has successfully found your server, click the Next button

Select the installation location (you can typically just use the default location), then click Next

Click Install

Once the installation process has completed, click Finish

Troubleshooting
If you can’t determine the location of the server or the database name, you may see the following screen:
One way you can determine where the server is installed is in the Ascend POS application in the following ABOUT screen:
You may also need to request a username and password that would work for your SQL server authentication.
To attempt another connection you may:
- Add the correct server name in the Server field (see the Ascend screen on previous page)
- Add the correct database name in the Database field (see the Ascend screen on previous page)
- You can then retry with the current user by clicking on the CONFIRM POS button
OR
You can supply a new username and password in the Username and Password field and
then click the CONFIRM POS button.
