Integrating your Shopify POS with TrackFly

Linking your Shopify store to your TrackFly account

Step 1: In a new browser tab, go to your Shopify account and log in with Admin credentials.

Step 2: Select “Apps” on the left side of the page.

Step 3: Select “App and sales channel settings” at the top of the page.

Step 4: Select “Develop apps” at the top of the page.

Step 5: Click “Create an app” at the top of the page.(you may need to click “Allow custom app development” first)

Step 6: Enter the following information about the app in Shopify.

1. App name = “TrackFly”
2. App developer = Your name and email
3. Select “Create app”

Step 7: Select “Configure Admin API scopes”.

Step 8: Under “Admin API access scopes” search for the following API access scopes and activate the appropriate option…

1. Search for “Inventory” and select “read_inventory”
2. Search for “Locations” and select “read_locations”
3. Search for “Products” and select “read_products”
4. Search for “Orders” and select “read_orders”
   
   

Click “Save”

Step 9: Select “API credentials” at the top of the page.

Step 10: Select “Install App” in the middle of the page.

Step 11: Select “Install”. Note that the personally identifiable information Shopify is highlighting is about your business, like your store address, and not about the information of your customers. 

Step 12: Under “API key and secret key” note the clipboard icon to copy the API Key. You will use this later to copy and paste the key to TrackFly.

Under “Admin API access token” note the clipboard icon to copy the API access token. You will use this later to copy and paste the key to TrackFly.

NOTE: The API access token is provided to you only one time. If you lose or forget your access token simply select “Uninstall app” in the top right corner of the page, then select “Install app” again. The system will generate a new access token that you can use. If you do this after you have completed integrating to TrackFly, then you will need to save the new access token in TrackFly again. 

Step 13: Leave your Shopify browser tab open and in a separate browser tab, navigate to https://trackfly.com/ and click “Sign up” (If you have already created a TrackFly account you can click “Login” instead and login with your existing account) and enter your shop information. 

Step 14: Click the “Integrations” menu in the navigation menu on the left.

Step 15: Select the “Connect Shopify” option on the Integrations page. 

Step 16: Choose “Connect” on the integration window.

Step 17: Enter the necessary information for creating a connection between TrackFly and your Shopify store. 

1. Subdomain * Required - This is ONLY the first part of your Shopify URL
   1. EXAMPLE: adidas.myshopify.com > Enter ONLY “adidas”
2. API Key * Required - Copy this from your Shopify store (Step 12 above).
3. Password / Access Token * Required - Copy this from your Shopify store (Step 12 above) 

Step 17: Select “Submit”.
